Obviously binds when equipped. There are also items that bind when used - but they are mostly fun items, pets and whatnot - nothing truly significant to the game.

I cannot revise my post, so here's the best way, do everything the same as above except make 3. Unstack 1 for yourself and put it to the side. Then trade the stack of 2 to your friend. Have your friend unstack it. After your friend unstacks it on their end, one of them will say 'gift from *name*' and the other will not have that. Make sure your friend equips the one that does not say 'gift from *name*' or it will only work until your friend relogs.
CSGO Gambling sites are a great example. A bunch of the same sites, same coding, plaguing the game. A good portion of these sites barely got attention, yet they all still stay up. It's a website.
In this case I'd roll Greed, because I don't really need the item, and the other DPS will roll Need. The other option is, if there is an Enchanter in the group, every item you don't plan on using (everything you won't roll Need on), you pass on. The Enchanter rolls Greed on everything they don't Need, and disenchant the items, getting shards, which get distributed to the group. Sorry for the wall of text. Many Thanks I now understand the system.
They are known as 'Binds when used' or 'Bind on Use' items. About Needing and Greeding items. The main idea: Need rolls happen before Greed rolls. If even one person rolls Need, Greed rolls don't even happen. If nobody rolls Need or Greed, the item is being passed, and everybody can loot it.
It's just that one of WoW's restrictions is that some things are BOP. I've always thought the reason boss drops are BOP is because the toons that were there and helped kill the boss deserve the item more than some alt who didn't take part in the kill. If players could send these items to their alts, they'd be less likely to trade them to others in the group. 03:49 PMPosted by so i got xaril's hood of intoxicating vapors on my rogue and it's soulbound to her but i want to add it as a transmog for a warlock but i cant send it to any of my cloth users does that mean i have to grind for it again on a warlock, mage or priest just to add it as a transmogIt is not able to be transmogged for your warlock because rogues don't wear leather and it is a cloth item. If it dropped for a cloth wearing class you could then transmog it for any of your cloth alts.

Sounds like BS to me. If it does work it's exploiting. (it wont work). Im reading this can it be done: Trade SB: 1) Go to General Goods Vendor and buy a bag.
I've heard pokemon exploits less complicated than that.

Other MMO's let the player give alts gear, either via email OR a shared bank (only if the item is not equipped by a toon first). Food for thought. It would be a good way for a main to give a 'leg-up' to an alt.
Possibly a vendor in game who will 'port' through the nether to another character for a price. It's too bad.
'Boy, it sure would be nice if I could use these darn Mad King back pieces on DIFFERENT characters, stupid Soulbinding.' So I asked around, and was nicely informed (thanks Aggro) that you could transfer Soulbound skins to Alts with a very simple method: You take your Soulbound item, and you Transmute it with a White quality item of the same type. The item will no longer be Soulbound, and you can now transfer your skin. Specifically regarding the BACK SLOT however, you will find there IS no back piece to buy which is white or Account Bound. I thought I was beat here, when I recalled the Toy Maker's Bag recently handed out for Wintersday. I have 2, and a PvP one (which does NOT work for this btw), and I remembered noticing they were account bound!

, 'Did I make a mistake?' , 'What do I do with XYZ?' Or 'Should I buy/sell this?'
Or 'Should I buy/sell this?' Can be posted in the current watercooler thread.
Furthermore, drops should be made in public bags again. This would make the game far more interesting, in a number of ways: 1: with high-value UTs available as top-level trades, the market should stabilize and actually have more importance in the game. 2: Keys would actually be consistently tradeable (no, the current system where scamming is everpresent doesn't cut it). 3: Surplus inventory could be dropped publicly for friends instead of either just leaving it or wasting time trading. The problem is it still exists.
